The Sailing Academy caters for adults and children who wish to learn how to sail and improve in the sport, whilst having a lot of fun.
We focus on the mastery of basic and integral skills and knowledge upon advanced boat handling skills are based. The focus is placed on foundation skills so that students who master these find it easier to progress through the programs successfully and integrate into the sport with relative ease and minimal frustration.

The adult have the choice of learning to sail in the Pacers or on our yachts and programs are taught differently to the childrens programs yet the outcomes of the programs are similar. You will learn how to sail in a friendly stress free environment where an instructor will be onboard guiding you through the skills that you will develop. Then, after extensive learning with an instructor you will have the opportunity to progress through the academy and sail a boat with other sailors of similar ability to you with an instructor close by in a powerboat to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Before you know it you will be confident to go sailing independently of an instructor and you may even want to start racing.

The Sailing Academy also caters for adults and children who are already competent sailors that wish to improve their ability or be more competitive at state and national championships. Bring your own boat and crew along and the sailing academy instructors will help you find your true sailing potential.
