I grew up sailing but never really knew how it all worked. I took Basic Skills I and II with High Performance Sailing to fill in those knowledge gaps. I have watched most coaches in Sydney in their dealings with young children. I sat on the beach, watching the children Graham was teaching. Without exception the children had grins as wide as their faces. His ability to instil simple boat sense with the confidence to enjoy it won him the dubious honour of teaching my own children. They loved it, however they now occasionally correct my marine terminology!
